We have started testing the new hide for vultures, at Faia Brava Reserve. The Egyptian vultures arrived already to the territory and we’ve been getting some Griffon vultures regularly in the feeding station. But now, with the hide finished, we’re analising all the details while using the structure.
During the last couple of weeks we’ve received the visit of a couple of Egyptian vultures, Red Kite and Black Kite, Azure-winged Magpies, crows and ravens, all curious about the new feeding station and the new hide. Also, other small birds are seen at the place, like white wagtails, Mistle Thrush, Serin and Spotless Starling.
This new setting allows for a better control of the movements of the birds and, with the panoramic window (360x45cm) it provides great opportunities for flight shots.
We are expecting to officialy open the hide by April.
