In a transition between plain and mountain, it has given rise to multiple habitats (olive groves, oak groves, pine forests and chestnut groves) that favour the occurrence of a great diversity of birds, with forest, agricultural and rock-dwelling habits. To the west of Elvas, the area of Vila Fernando is worth a visit. Here, the habitat is conducive to the occurrence of steppe birds, such as the Great Bustard and the Roller (both currently quite rare).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
